Step 1 — Apply online
Lodge the application at epassport.gov.bd. The appointment shown on the e-Passport application summary is not accepted as a Sydney Consulate biometric appointment.
Step 2 — Email documents
Email epassport.sydney@mofa.gov.bd with the summary sheet, application form, Bangladesh passport, Australian passport or visa grant notice, NID/Smart Card, and any applicable marriage, divorce, lost-passport police, visa or student records. A 17-digit verifiable birth certificate is accepted as the primary record only when the applicant has never held an NID.
Step 3 — Biometric appointment
After the Consulate provides its booking link, reserve an appointment and attend in person for biometric enrolment. Payment is made by Mastercard/Visa debit or credit card at the office.
Collection
Track the application through the Department of Immigration and Passports portal. Wait for the Sydney Consulate's collection notification, then bring the old passport and delivery slip between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm on a working day. A representative also needs an authorization letter.
Published fees
Regular: AUD 220 for a 10-year adult passport and AUD 170 for a five-year under-18 passport. Express: AUD 300 and AUD 250 respectively. The official page contains the current fee table and any applicable student rates.
