National Poet's Grave

Kazi Nazrul Islam, Bangladesh's national poet and the celebrated 'Rebel Poet', is buried beside the Dhaka University Central Mosque.

National Martyrs' Memorial

The memorial at Savar honours those who died in the 1971 Liberation War. Its seven rising triangular planes, mass graves, reflecting water and landscaped grounds form one of the country's principal national monuments.

Central Shaheed Minar

This Dhaka monument commemorates those killed during the 1952 Language Movement while demanding recognition for Bangla. It remains the focal point for annual remembrance and cultural observance on 21 February.

Martyred Intellectuals Memorial

The memorial at Mirpur honours teachers, writers, artists, physicians and other intellectuals abducted and killed near the end of the Liberation War, particularly on 14 December 1971.

Visiting respectfully
